Pacific Explorer specializes in "Whale Watching" in the "Solitary Islands Marine Park" (Since 1994) during the months from June to November.

Departures are 9.00am and 1.30pm daily. (subject to suitable Sea and Weather conditions)
This makes it possible for almost anyone to experience a "Close Encounter" with a Humpback whale.

Sightings occur on over 90% of our cruises each season.

The vessel is completely open decked and is licensed for only 23 passengers ensuring everyone gets to see ALL the action.

Morning and afternoon tea is served during each cruise.

From mid-November to April we conduct relaxing cruises through the "Solitary Islands Marine Park" in search of Dolphins.

We encounter the Bottlenose and the Pacific 'common' dolphins on approximately 80% of these cruises and especially take in the majestic South Solitary Island with it's lighthouse, and Split Solitary Island.

There are some snorkel and mask sets on board so when conditions are suitable it is possible to snorkel at the Islands.

The water temperature during these months is around 23-24° degrees and the marine life, soft corals and soft sponges make for quite an exciting snorkel.

These cruises are for a half-day and of course include morning tea.

During these months we also conduct twilight cruises twice per week. (BYO drinks).
